In this lab, students will work with digital circuits that use binary digits (bits) to represent information. Digital circuits form the backbone of modern computing and are used in a variety of applications, from simple calculators to complex supercomputers. During this lab, students will gain hands-on experience with digital circuits and learn how to design, simulate, and test them using specialized software and hardware tools. They will learn how to work with logic gates, flip-flops, counters, shift registers, and other digital components. The lab is equipped with state-of-the-art hardware and software tools, including digital oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and FPGA development boards. Students will have access to industry-standard software tools such as Xilinx ISE and SPICE, which are used for designing and simulating digital circuits. The lab is designed to be a collaborative and interactive environment, where students will work in small groups to complete hands-on projects and experiments. They will have the opportunity to apply the concepts they learn in class to real-world problems and gain a deeper understanding of how digital circuits work.
