Experience:

  • May 2008-Oct 2011. Worked as a Senior Lecturer-cum-Junior Research Officer in the project Linguistic Data Consortium for Indian Languages (LDCIL) at Central Institute of Indian Languages (CIIL), Mysore. Nature of work included POS tagging, Speech segmentation/annotation, Morphological analyser, Frequency Dictionary etc. in Hindi.
  • Nov 2011-July 2013. Worked as a Reader-cum-Research Officer in the project Linguistic Data Consortium for Indian Languages (LDCIL) at Central Institute of Indian Languages (CIIL), Mysore. Nature of work remained same along with   overall supervision of the project work.
  • Was also engaged as a part-time consultant for two years in the Propbank project, University of Colorado, US.

  • Research Areas: Syntax, Morphology, Phonetics & Phonology, NLP.
  • Research Languages: Hindi-Urdu & other South Asian languages, Indian Sign Language and EkeGusii (Bantu Language).
