The Department of Mechanical Engineering, over the course of time has grown its expertise and competence in the Mechanical Engineering and allied research areas. The department is continually taking action to train the mechanical engineers of the future by fusing theoretical and applied knowledge and putting an emphasis on critical thinking and learning. It aims to equip students with the skills they need to meet society's emerging challenges. The Department offers B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering and specialization in Mechatronics, Automobile, Smart Manufacturing, B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering with minor CS respectively, M.Tech in Production engineering and Ph.D in Mechanical Engineering.
The vision of the Department of Mechanical Engineering is to be a Centre of excellence in Mechanical Engineering education, research, and entrepreneurship to promote the sustainable development. To do this, the department works to produce highly qualified graduates through demanding curriculum and cutting-edge research projects. The course contents are periodically updated for introducing new scientific and technological developments. The department maintains active research groups for carrying out collaborative and interdisciplinary research. In addition to the regular academic work, the students of the department are encouraged to participate in co-curricular activities.
The department has active academia industry collaboration with TUV-SUD SouthAsia pvt. Ltd., National Institute of Solar energy (NISE), MSME, SVR Infotech, and many more. The Department has received several research grants from govt. agencies like DST-SERB and UPCST.

M1: To impart quality and value-based education in the area of Mechanical Engineering in the framework of Outcome Based Education.

Scope:
According to US Bureau of Labour Statistics, Employment of mechanical engineers is projected to grow 4 percent from 2019 to 2029, about as fast as the average for all occupations. Job prospects may be best for those who stay abreast of the most recent advances in technology.

Such training has moulded them into better qualified professionals. It is also expected that our students will continue to pass-on the skills which they have developed during their stay at this department to whole of the world for a better society. The Department offers three Undergraduate programs, two Postgraduate Programs and a Doctoral program, which are upgraded regularly to reflect current developments in the discipline of Mechanical Engineering. Our graduates are exceptionally employable and have been placed in diverse sectors and now working at senior positions around the world for the last two decades.

HOD Message
We have many Departmental Clubs which are managed entirely by the students, which organize various events round the year. We have collaboration with established professional bodies, such as- an MoU with National Institute of Design (NID) Ahmedabad, under the Design Clinic Scheme for MSMEs in education and research, MoU with MSME (Micro Medium Small Enterprise) Technology Development Center, Ministry of MSME Government of India Foundry Nagar, Agra, ASME Student Chapter, SAE Collegiate Club. The Department also plays a key role in running IIM, Mathura Chapter. These societies facilitate research, knowledge sharing and learning for all categories of Professionals.
The Department always looks forward to a healthy and productive interaction with the industry. We are also working with professors on special research projects. At the sam time, our faculty also have academic collaboration with researchers outside and they have been publishing in reputed journals in the field. Department is facilitated with Centre for Excellence CAR (Centre for automotive research), MNDRC (Micro-Nano Development Research Centre), SOLAR Energy for applied research and scholarly pursuit.
I am quite confident that our students shall perform to the best on any platform and do justice with the trust placed on them.
